Muriwai Beach

Muriwai is long famous for the huge gannet colony perched on a clifftop above the mighty surf of the Tasman Sea. There is a boardwalk right up to the top where you can view the wildlife right in front of your eyes , roosting on ledges and gliding all around you on the updrafts.

The untamed windswept coastline stretches along 60km and is a popular destination for a plethora of activities including surfing, fishing, horse riding and parasailing.
